ABOUT US

WELCOME TO FIRESTATION PRE SCHOOL, MALTON

Firestation Pre School prides itself on the strong parent partnerships that has been achieved through involving parents in all aspects of the children's learning and development. We feel it's important for children to be respected and treated as individuals with regard to gender, race, culture and ability.

EXTENSIVE EXPERIENCE

We offer "freeplay" therefore children can access both the indoors and outdoors. Outdoor play offers freedom both physically and mentally. The outdoors "aids appreciation, encourages a healthy lifestyle, supports important communication skills, aids independance and individualism, allows children to understand risk taking, develops children's problem solving and nurtures their creativity as well as providing rich opportunities for their developing imagination".

We have extensive experience working with children with additional needs varying from delayed speech, English as an additional language, autism, down syndrome, global development delay etc. We use "closing the gaps" Individual learning provision plans, communication boards and Educational health care plans to support children's learning and development.

Firestation Pre-School has strong links with the local Primary Schools, supporting its Pre-School children and preparing them for School.
